Gynecology

Gynecology is a branch of medicine that deals with preventive examinations, diagnostics and treatment of female reproductive organs. The name itself comes from the Greek words “gine” – woman and “logos” – science, so it is, in literal translation, the science of women.

Today, gynecology is closely related to obstetrics, so it includes pregnancy planning, monitoring changes in the female body and the fetus from conception to delivery, as well as the postpartum period.

In addition to standard gynecological interventions, our institution also performs the most modern method for observing the behavior and movements of the fetus in real time – 3D/4D ultrasound.
